Blog Post #1:

I hope to learn how to utilize technology in classrooms to help students learn. I want to learn about the different tools that teachers can use and also about the methods that they use to prevent student distractions. I would love to learn how to work these systems more efficiently and how to connect projectors or setup smartboards.  I will apply it in the future for my professor position, and it will help me with my professional as well as personal learning and work related to technology in class. 


I grew up in an digital age so I have a lot of experience using computers and smartboards in school.  In middle school we learned how to use the computer and often used it for a lot of classes. It supported education but also made it hard to focus on the class with all the distractions. The use of smartboards helped the teacher with teaching as they didn't have to use chalkboards and made it easier to present information to students. In high school, a lot of homework and classes were all online with sometimes full classes happening online, over video chats and digital labs. The biggest change was when covid made the whole world turn to digital education and a lot of experience with Zoom and online school rather than regular school. 

As of right now, I have a small Personal Learning Network. For my education and work I often ask advice from my superiors such as professors and managers as they know the work more.  Also I often turn to you tube or google to find information and video forms of education as I learn through that the best way.  For my hobbies and personal life, I often turn to family, friends and partner. They help me with emotions that I might be experiencing in college, the dread and stress of turning into a full adult and living by yourself. For my hobby of skating and guitar I often lean towards my friends especially the ones who are more advanced in the fields than me and they could often give me advice and tips so I can progress further.  I regularly use What's App and Instagram to keep up with friends and relatives. For my learning I like to read physical books and youtube to further progress my learning in my interest in the history field.

My experience with Word has always been divided. On one hand I like the multitude of functions it has compared to other software.  Like they more advanced page setups, AI integration, and just more play and ability to work with your design. On the other hand a lot of its functions are clunky and its not super friendly. All through my high school years I was mainly using Google Docs due to its simplicity and accessibility. I didn't need to buy a subscription or go through an app and multiple steps to write my paper. Google docs was just far more convenient. My worst experience with Word would be when I was working on a business project and any one small change to a page made everything change too, it might have been due to inexperience but that experience has been stuck with me.  Also whenever I tried to pdf the file everything would move around too much. Blog Post #5:

  My experience with blogging so far has been mixed. I think I like to write blogs and I would like to develop this skill further. At the moment I like the ability to express my voice in writing, as well as develop my writing skills. These skills could help me in my career as well as school life. I don’t like blogging because of the mental blocks you can have, especially with writing something creative or not factual that you can go off.  As of right now it's not that bad, because I have a prompt to write about.  I have learned a lot from blogging but most importantly I have learned to express and format my thoughts on paper. It helped me learn how to do that best and what programs I can have in writing.
